Tally + invoices and updates, on WhatsApp
Your invoices already live in Tally. Connecting it to Ohanvi lets invoices and payment updates reach customers on WhatsApp, where they read them. Ohanvi connects to the Tally you already use; it is not an accounting product.
What it connects
- Invoices and payment updates, sent to the customer on WhatsApp through an approved template
- Your Tally company, reached over Tally’s own HTTP server or through a small bridge installed on the computer that runs Tally
What it asks for, and why
- Access to the Tally company you choose
- Ohanvi needs the invoice and the customer it belongs to before it can send the message. Companies you do not pick are not touched.
- A bridge key, if you connect through the bridge
- The bridge reaches Tally locally, so Tally never has to be exposed to the internet. Its key only lets the bridge talk to your Ohanvi account.
Setting it up
- In Ohanvi, open Settings → Connect Tally.
- If Tally is reachable on your network, enter its address with Tally’s HTTP server enabled. If not, download the bridge and install it on the computer that runs Tally.
- Open your company in Tally — Tally must be open for Ohanvi to reach it — and pick it in Ohanvi.
- Choose the approved WhatsApp templates for invoices and updates, and send yourself a test.
If the connection lapses
If Tally is closed or the bridge goes offline, Ohanvi cannot reach your company and nothing new goes out on WhatsApp until it is back. Your books in Tally are unaffected.
What it costs
Included on every plan. Each WhatsApp message is charged at your plan’s published per-message rate for its category.
