How is WhatsApp Business API priced?
Meta charges per message, not per conversation, and has done since 1 July 2025. The rate depends on the template category — marketing, utility or authentication — and on the country your customer is in, not the country you are in. Ohanvi bills Meta’s published rate plus a percentage set by your plan, on top of a monthly plan fee. Service conversations a customer starts are free.
Is there a free WhatsApp API plan?
Pay as you go is ₹0 a month. It is prepaid from a ₹500 top-up and carries every feature, so you pay only for what you send. Every paid plan also starts with a 14-day trial, and nothing is charged until your WhatsApp number is live and verified.
Does the country I am messaging change the price?
Yes, and it is the recipient’s country that matters, never yours. An Indian business messaging a customer in Dubai pays Meta’s UAE rate; a US business messaging a customer in India pays the India rate. The calculator prices every market Meta publishes.
