Shopify + your store’s events, on WhatsApp
Shopify knows when an order is placed, packed, shipped or abandoned. Ohanvi turns each of those into a WhatsApp message to the customer who caused it — on the same contact record as every other conversation you have had with them.
What it connects
- Order placed, paid, fulfilled and cancelled events, as triggers for a template message
- Abandoned checkouts, as the trigger for a cart-recovery sequence
- Cash-on-delivery orders, for a confirm-before-dispatch message
- Customer name, order number and line items, as variables inside the template
What it asks for, and why
- Read access to orders and checkouts
- An order confirmation cannot be sent without knowing an order happened, and a cart-recovery message cannot be sent without knowing a checkout was abandoned.
- Read access to customer records
- The message goes to a phone number and is personalised with a name. Both live on the customer record, not on the order.

Setting it up
- Connect your Shopify store from the integrations screen and approve the access request.
- Pick which store events should send a message — you are not obliged to turn all of them on.
- Choose an approved WhatsApp template for each event, and map the order fields into its variables.
- Send yourself a test order before enabling it for real customers.
If the connection lapses
Store events stop reaching Ohanvi, so automated order and cart messages stop being sent. Nothing is lost and nothing is charged — your contacts, templates and conversation history are unaffected, and reconnecting resumes sending from that point. Messages for events that happened while the connection was down are not sent retroactively.
What it costs
Included on every plan, including Pay as you go. You pay only for the WhatsApp messages it sends, at your plan’s published per-message rate.
Questions this answers
- Does Ohanvi integrate with Shopify?
- Yes, and it is live today on every plan including Pay as you go — not a roadmap item. Order confirmations, shipping updates, COD verification and cart recovery, triggered from store events.
- What permissions does the Shopify integration need?
- Read access to orders and checkouts: An order confirmation cannot be sent without knowing an order happened, and a cart-recovery message cannot be sent without knowing a checkout was abandoned. Read access to customer records: The message goes to a phone number and is personalised with a name. Both live on the customer record, not on the order.
