Your WhatsApp quality rating decides how far a broadcast goes

Meta scores every business number, and that score sets your daily sending limit. Here is how the rating actually moves, and the sending habits that protect it.

Ohanvi WhatsApp dashboard showing account status, quality rating and daily sending limit

Open the WhatsApp dashboard in Ohanvi and three numbers sit at the top: account status, quality rating and daily limit. Most businesses watch the first and ignore the second — until a broadcast silently reaches a fraction of the list it used to.

The quality rating is Meta’s score of how recipients react to your messages over the last seven days. Blocks and reports pull it down hardest, but so does a long run of messages that nobody opens or replies to. The rating has three bands — high, medium, low — and it is the input Meta uses to raise or cut your messaging tier: 1,000 unique customers a day, then 10,000, then 100,000.

What actually moves the rating

The fastest way down is sending marketing templates to people who never asked for them. Every block counts against you, and imported lists full of cold numbers are where blocks come from. The fastest way up is the boring one: send to people who opted in, at a cadence they expect, with a way out in every message.

Segmentation is protection, not just targeting. A campaign to 4,000 people who bought something last quarter behaves completely differently — in blocks, in reads, in replies — from the same campaign to 40,000 imported contacts. The first grows your tier; the second can cut it in a week.

The habits that keep you at High

Suppress non-responders instead of resending to them. Answer replies quickly — a conversation that gets a response signals a number people want to hear from. Keep utility and marketing templates separate, because a delivery update dressed up as an offer is exactly what gets reported. And watch the rating weekly on the dashboard rather than discovering a tier cut after a festival campaign.

None of this is specific to Ohanvi — it is how the WhatsApp Business platform works for everyone. The difference a tool makes is whether the rating, the limit and the funnel sit on one screen where you will actually look at them.
