Use your WhatsApp CRM from Claude, Cursor or VS Code

Ohanvi is an MCP server: your own AI app can find leads, add notes, tag contacts and send WhatsApp templates as you, with only your permissions. How it works.

Plenty of people now spend their working day inside an AI app: Claude, Cursor, VS Code with an assistant. Switching out of it to look up a lead, add a note and send a follow-up is three tabs and five minutes for something you could have asked for in one sentence.

Ohanvi speaks MCP, the Model Context Protocol, the open standard these apps use to talk to other software. Connect once, and you can ask your AI app to work in your Ohanvi account.

What your AI app can do

Find leads and contacts. Add notes and tasks. Tag contacts. Send approved WhatsApp templates. In practice that means asking things like “show my five newest leads”, “find the contact [email protected] and tag her VIP”, or “add a note to that lead saying she wants a demo on Friday”.

Each tool is marked as reading data or changing it, so a well-behaved app asks you before it changes anything.

It acts as you, and only as you

Your key carries your identity. Every call goes through the same permission check as the same action in the Ohanvi app, so the AI app sees only the tools your role allows. If you cannot export contacts in Ohanvi, neither can your AI app. If your plan does not include a module, its tools are refused.

Every call is logged and audited like the same action in the app. Revoke the key in Connect your AI and that app is cut off at once.

There are sensible limits per key: 120 requests a minute, 50 rows per search, and up to 10 live keys per person.

Setting it up

In Ohanvi, open AI Assistant → Connect your AI and press New key. Name it after the app it is for. The key is shown once; the same dialog gives you the server address and the setup for your app with both filled in.

Cursor: paste the setup into ~/.cursor/mcp.json. VS Code: into .vscode/mcp.json in your project. Claude Code: run the one-line claude mcp add command the dialog shows. Claude Desktop: add the mcp-remote line to claude_desktop_config.json. Claude Desktop’s own Connectors screen needs a sign-in method Ohanvi does not offer yet, so for now it goes through the config file.

Then ask your app something simple, like your newest leads, to check it works.

The other direction: your systems, used by Ohanvi’s agents

MCP works both ways. Under AI Assistant → MCP Servers you can add the MCP servers of your other systems, such as a helpdesk or an ERP, so Ohanvi’s own AI agents can use their tools.

Nothing is usable until an admin approves it, tool by tool, and says whether it reads or changes data. A tool whose description changes on the server is withdrawn until it is approved again. Results come back to the agent as data, never as instructions it must follow.

What it costs

Connect your AI costs nothing. Your own AI app does the thinking and pays for its own model; Ohanvi only answers its calls. Any WhatsApp template it sends is charged at your plan’s published per-message rate, as if you had sent it yourself.

Questions this answers

Can I connect Claude to my WhatsApp Business account?
Yes, through Ohanvi. Make a key in AI Assistant → Connect your AI and add it to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or VS Code. Your AI app can then find leads and contacts, add notes and tasks, tag contacts and send approved WhatsApp templates, with only your permissions.
Is it safe to give an AI app access to my CRM?
The app acts as you, with only the tools your role allows, and each tool says whether it changes data so the app can ask first. Every call is logged, and revoking the key cuts the app off immediately.
Does Connect your AI cost extra?
No. Your AI app pays for its own model. Only WhatsApp messages it sends are charged, at your plan’s published per-message rate.
