Ohanvi vs other WhatsApp API providers

Most platforms put the chatbot, the integrations or the API on a higher plan. Every Ohanvi plan carries every feature. Here is how to check any provider yourself.

Building the platform this article is about

Search for any WhatsApp Business API platform and you will find a page comparing it favourably to five rivals. We are not going to write that page, and the reason is worth more to you than the table would be.

Those comparisons have the same two problems. The prices in them were true on the day they were published, and platforms reprice without announcing it — so the table is quietly wrong within weeks and nobody updates it. And the feature columns are written by the company that wins. This site shipped exactly that once: a table asserting two named competitors lacked features they publicly offered. We took it down.

What follows instead is the check we would run if we were buying, on any provider including us. It takes about five minutes and every answer comes from a source the vendor does not control.

The gate is usually the chatbot

The most common shape in this category is a cheap entry plan that gets you the WhatsApp API and very little else. The chatbot or flow builder sits on a higher tier. Integrations are counted — two on this plan, five on that one. API calls are capped per month, webhooks limited or absent. The AI agent is a separate monthly product with its own price.

It is not hidden. It is on the pricing page, in a comparison grid, in the rows that say "not included" — which is exactly where it stops being read, because by then you have already anchored on the headline price of the plan you thought you were buying.

The consequence arrives later. You sign up for the cheap plan, build a campaign, and discover the cart-recovery flow you had in mind needs the tier above. The upgrade is not a feature purchase; it is the plan you actually needed, sold to you twice.

Every Ohanvi plan carries every feature

There is no plan on which the chatbot is unavailable. No plan without the shared team inbox, click-to-WhatsApp ads, the AI agent, the CRM, social publishing, Shopify workflows or email. No integration counted against a tier. Pay as you go is ₹0 a month and prepaid, and it has the same product in it as Pro.

What changes between plans is usage, not access: how many automated messages are included, how many people can sign in, how quickly support answers, and what each message costs. A marketing message to India runs from ₹1.0357 on Pay as you go down to ₹0.9063 on Pro.

We price this way because gating features punishes exactly the customer who cannot yet tell which feature they will need. A business testing WhatsApp for the first time should be able to try the chatbot before knowing whether it works for them.

How to test a provider for gating in one minute

Open the pricing page and read the cheapest paid plan only. Ignore the columns to its right — that is the whole trick. Then ask three things of that column alone: can I build an automated flow, can I connect the tools I already use, and can I call the API.

If any answer is no, or is a number ("2 integrations", "10k API calls"), the headline price is not the price of the product. Add the tier you would actually end up on and compare that instead.

Run it on us as well. The answer for every Ohanvi plan is yes, and it is the same yes on the cheapest one.

Whose name is on the WhatsApp Business Account?

It should be yours. If the number and the account sit inside the provider’s Business Manager, leaving means starting again with a new number and rebuilding every template approval — a switching cost nobody quoted you.

Ask to be shown the account itself, not a screenshot of one.

What happens when you exceed the included volume?

Ask for the overage rate in writing. A plan that stops sending mid-campaign and a plan that bills a few paise a message are very different products at the same headline price.

Ours is published per plan, and nothing stops working when you pass the allowance.

What does a message actually cost?

Meta charges for WhatsApp per message — not per 24-hour conversation, which is how it worked until 1 July 2025. The rate depends on the template category (marketing, utility or authentication) and on the country your customer is in, not the country you are in. Meta publishes the whole card openly.

That means a per-message price is checkable, and a platform that will not give you one before you sign up is asking you to take it on trust. For reference, Meta's own published rate for a marketing message to India is ₹0.8631, and ₹0.1150 for a utility one.

Our price for every plan, every category and every country Meta prices is published on the pricing page, beside a calculator that totals a month from your own volumes — including tax, before you talk to anyone.

Can you get your data out?

Contacts, conversation history and template definitions. A platform that makes export difficult is charging a switching cost it never put on the price list.

Run it on us too

The point of a checklist rather than a table is that it works in both directions. Take these questions to three vendors, ours included, and compare the answers you get — not the answers we wrote on their behalf.

If a number on our pricing page does not match what Meta publishes, we have made a mistake and would like to know.
